Mayor Eddie DeLoach compared Tide to Town to the Atlanta Beltline, but the nonprofit’s website notes some other trail networks that might be more appropriate comparisons, including those in Augusta, Carrollton, Columbus and Athens-Clarke County. DeLoach said that we should use the occasion to “kick off what I hope is a long-term campaign for the other 31 miles that we want to put in our city.”
